Our store strives to be a haven for queer artists creating work inspired by their lived experiences. So, this month, we want to take a moment to highlight a few of the works we have on consignment from exceptional members of the LGBTQ+ community living and creating art in Chicago.
This list seeks to highlight a collection of comics and zines focused on autobiographical experiences and fictional worlds with queer characters at the helm, living in fantastical to mundane settings.

Delightful and charming. For decades, Betty & Veronica have fruitlessly fought over the most mediocre man ever. But what if the love they were looking for was right in front of them all along? Collaged from vintage Archie comics, Betty Loves Veronica tells the story of the two dumping Archie and eventually realizing their love for each other. Each issue comes complete with a fashion page and other fun collages!

Somewhere in Purgatory by STEIN
When a soviet soldier meets an untimely death, he seeks the help of the gatekeeper of Purgatory. Together, they must find a way to get his soul back. In the pages that follow, watch a love story between two unlikely characters unfold as they grapple with the meaning of the afterlife. Sweet and tender, a quick read with a lot of heart.
